Build your own world with Genesis

Or follow this guide
Give your World Model memory, rules and a playable interface. Describe what you want, then let your AI coding agent build it.
1

Clone the repo and add the skill

Install Git and Node.js 20 or later. Clone Genesis and build the local tools, or ask your coding agent to run these commands.
Setup commands
git clone https://github.com/sequencer-media/genesis.git cd genesis npm ci npm run build
Open the genesis folder in a coding session with file and terminal access, such as Codex or Claude Code. Give ChatGPT or Claude the Genesis skill, or ask your agent to read skills/create-world-stream/SKILL.md.
2

Describe your world

Choose the setting, player actions, goal and visual style. Paste this into the same chat and make it yours.
World-building prompt
Read skills/create-world-stream/SKILL.md and use it to build my world in ./my-world.
World
Moonmoth, a courier adventure across floating forest islands.
Players
One player. Explore, talk to islanders, collect items and choose a route.
Goal
Deliver a glowing seed before nightfall. Remember inventory, choices and progress. Include a clear ending and replay.
Look
A warm pixel interface around cinematic forest scenes. Moss, lanterns, ancient trees and soft evening light.
Build the interface and game rules. Start with local fixtures and prepared media. Validate the project, test a complete run on desktop and mobile, and give me a local preview URL and a complete ZIP export.
Building a battle game? Ask your agent to study the Pokémon example, then use your own characters, moves and visual direction.
3

Play and refine

Open the local preview your agent returns and check the complete player experience.
Complete an action and reach an ending.
Check inventory and saved progress.
Try the controls on your phone.
Switch seats for multiplayer worlds.
Ask for specific changes, such as “Make the choices larger on mobile.” Then have the agent validate the project and export its complete ZIP.
Local previews use prepared media and simulated generation. Connect a live provider next to see new generated scenes.
4

Publish and play live

Host with Sequencer

Install Sequencer MCP in your AI client and sign in. Then ask your agent to publish:
Publish prompt
Use Sequencer MCP to import my Genesis project from ./my-world, validate it and test the player controls. Help me choose a live model and generation budget, then publish my world and return its playable link. Ask before starting paid generation.
You can also upload the ZIP in My Worlds, preview it and publish. Live generation uses gems. Test one action through video playback, then stop the stream when you're finished.

Host in your own app

Run your exported Genesis project on your own host. Connect the Worldstreams API for managed generation, or your own model providers. Keep API keys on your server. The hosting guide covers player access, saved state and video delivery.
