Privacy Policy

Sequencer, Inc., a Delaware corporation ("Sequencer," "we," "us," or "our"), provides sequencer.media, private.sequencer.media, our applications, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, and protect personal information when you use the Service.

By using the Service, you acknowledge the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Additional notices may apply to particular features. Where an additional notice conflicts with this Policy, the more specific notice controls for that feature.

This Policy applies to both the standard Sequencer experience and Sequencer Private ("Private Mode").

"User Content" means prompts, chat messages, project information, character descriptions, audio, images, video, documents, reference files, generated media, and other materials submitted to, created with, or stored through the Service.

"Private Mode Content" means User Content submitted to or generated within Private Mode. Private Mode Content is subject to the retention choice selected for that generation, together with the provider-specific handling shown in the applicable model details.

"Operational Metadata" means limited non-content records used to operate the Service, such as timestamps, model and provider identifiers, retention selections, credit usage, cost, request status, error codes, and security or abuse-prevention signals. For Private Mode, these records do not contain Private Mode prompts, uploads, or generations and are maintained separately from them.

Account information. When you create or use an account, we may receive your name, email address, profile picture, authentication identifiers, and account preferences.

User Content. We process the User Content you provide so that we can perform the actions you request, maintain your projects, and provide related features. User Content may contain personal or sensitive information about you or others. Do not upload information or likenesses that you do not have the right or permission to use.

Payment and transaction information. Payments are processed by our payment provider. We receive transaction status, purchase amount, billing country or region, limited payment-method details, and related records; we do not receive complete payment-card numbers.

Communications and program information. If you contact support, submit feedback, participate in an affiliate or creator program, or otherwise communicate with us, we collect the information you provide and the content of the communication.

We may collect device and browser information, IP address, operating system, language, approximate location derived from IP address, referring pages, session information, feature interactions, and performance or diagnostic data. We use this information to authenticate users, provide and secure the Service, prevent misuse, understand reliability, and improve the product.

We may use cookies, local storage, analytics tools, and similar technologies for authentication, preferences, security, performance, and permitted analytics. Your browser or device may allow you to limit some of these technologies, although doing so may affect functionality.

The Private Mode exclusions described in Section 5 apply notwithstanding these general collection practices. Private Mode prompts, uploads, and generations are not included in activity analytics, log tracing, crash reports, or support tooling.

We may receive information from authentication providers, payment processors, infrastructure providers, AI model providers, analytics and error-monitoring providers, customer-support tools, and other vendors that help us operate the Service.

We use personal information to:

Private Mode is cryptographically isolated from standard Sequencer projects. Sequencer does not associate Private Mode Content with your Sequencer account or identity and cannot reconnect that content to you. Account, billing, credit, security, and other non-content records are maintained separately and do not contain your Private Mode prompts, uploads, or generations.

This account separation does not remove information you choose to place inside the content itself. If you include your name, likeness, voice, location, or other identifying information in a prompt or upload, that content may identify you to the selected AI model provider or to anyone with whom you choose to share it.

Private Mode Content is not published, placed in a public feed, or shared with other users by default. If a sharing feature is available, content becomes accessible to others only after you take an affirmative sharing action and subject to the sharing settings shown at that time.

Private Mode lets you choose a retention period for eligible prompts, uploads, and generated media. The available selections may include Don't Save, 1 hour, 1 day, 1 week, and 1 month. The current selection is shown near the prompt and is applied to the associated generation.

Don't Save means that eligible Private Mode Content is processed to complete the request but is not intentionally added to your persistent private workspace. Short-lived processing copies may exist while a request is running, being delivered, secured, or retried. Provider handling may still apply as described in the model-level privacy details.

For a timed retention choice, eligible Private Mode Content is scheduled for deletion from active workspace storage after the selected period. You may also delete eligible content earlier through the Service. Retention settings do not apply to payment records, credit records, essential account information, Operational Metadata, legal holds, or information we must retain for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.

When eligible Private Mode Content expires or is deleted, we remove it from active workspace storage or render it inaccessible through the Service. Residual encrypted copies may remain temporarily in restricted backups, caches, or disaster-recovery systems until they are overwritten or deleted through normal lifecycle processes. We do not restore deleted Private Mode Content to active use except when necessary for disaster recovery, security, or legal compliance.

To perform a generation, we send the prompt and any relevant media or project context to the model provider selected for that request. Provider retention, training, safety review, geographic processing, and other practices may differ. Sequencer displays available model-level privacy details before generation. A provider may independently block a request or output, and its terms and policies may apply.

Sequencer never uses Private Mode Content to train Sequencer generative models. Private Mode prompts, uploads, and generations are excluded from activity analytics, log tracing, crash reports, and support tooling. We may process separate non-content records for billing, security, fraud prevention, reliability, capacity planning, and legal compliance. Those records do not contain Private Mode Content and cannot be used by Sequencer to reconnect that content to your account or identity. Provider training and analytics practices are disclosed separately in the applicable model-level privacy details.

Private Mode Content is unavailable through Sequencer's activity analytics, log tracing, crash reports, and support tooling. Sequencer personnel cannot use those tools to identify or retrieve your Private Mode Content. If you request support involving Private Mode Content, you must choose to provide the relevant material separately as part of the support request. Information you voluntarily provide to support is treated as a support communication and is not covered by the Private Mode exclusions.

Sequencer may use separate account, billing, security, and Operational Metadata to investigate fraud, security incidents, serious technical failures, comply with law, and protect the rights and safety of users, Sequencer, or others. This metadata does not contain Private Mode Content.

We may disclose information in the following circumstances:

Sequencer does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use Private Mode Content for advertising. If our practices change in a way that creates an opt-out right under applicable law, we will provide the required notice and controls before the change applies.

Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we process personal information as necessary to perform our contract with you; based on our legitimate interests in operating, securing, supporting, and improving the Service; with your consent where required; and to comply with legal obligations or protect vital interests. You may withdraw consent at any time where processing relies on consent, without affecting processing that occurred before withdrawal.

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including providing the Service, maintaining security, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, and meeting legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.

Standard project content generally remains until you delete it, close your account, or the applicable feature specifies a different period. Private Mode Content follows the retention choice for that generation, subject to the exceptions described in Section 5. Separate account, billing, transaction, security, and legal records may be retained for longer periods when reasonably necessary for their purpose, but they do not contain Private Mode Content or allow Sequencer to reconnect that content to your identity.

When determining a retention period, we consider the nature and sensitivity of the information, the purpose for which it was collected, the risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure, applicable legal requirements, and whether the purpose can be achieved through deletion, aggregation, or de-identification.

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. These include encryption, access controls, environment and workspace separation, monitoring, vendor controls, and data-lifecycle measures appropriate to the Service and the sensitivity of the information. No method of transmission, processing, or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for reviewing content before sharing or exporting it. Contact us promptly if you believe your account or content has been accessed without authorization.

Sequencer and its service providers may process information in the United States and other countries that may have data-protection laws different from those where you live. Where required, we use recognized legal mechanisms and safeguards for international transfers. Model-level privacy details may identify relevant provider processing locations when available.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal information; restrict or object to certain processing; withdraw consent; limit certain uses of sensitive personal information; or appeal a decision relating to your request. You may also have the right to opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising and to receive equal service and pricing when exercising privacy rights, subject to lawful exceptions.

You can delete eligible projects and content through the Service. To request account deletion or exercise another privacy right, contact support@sequencer.media. We may need to verify your identity and authority before completing a request. We will respond within the time required by applicable law and explain any lawful exception that prevents us from completing a request.

If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with a supervisory authority, you may have the right to complain to that authority. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve your concern.

The general Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Private Mode is available only to people who are at least 18 years old. If we learn that we collected personal information in violation of these age restrictions, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

The Service may link to or integrate with third-party services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices and agreements, not this Policy. Review the model-level privacy details and any linked provider information before selecting a provider or sending sensitive content.

We may update this Policy as the Service, our providers, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised Policy with a new Last Updated date. If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent when required by law.
