Describe a scene and camera flight. Build editable geometry and native camera animation, then turn the motion into a finished film with Sequencer.

Setup guide
Tested on Houdini 21.0 Apprentice · Native Qt panel · macOS setup included
New in v0.3.11: editable camera paths, geometry clearance checks, automatic shot ranges, and improved Gemini scene requests.
Your workspace, inside Houdini
Separate camera and look references, model controls, and editable motion prompts in a compact native panel.
From camera guide to hidden world
A real five-second test using a Houdini world guide, a finished shoe image, and Gemini 3.8 motion timings.
H3 result on top, Houdini guide below. Review the generated timing and framing, which H3 can reinterpret.
One connected workflow
Editable scene direction
Use Google or OpenAI models, thinking controls, and chat history to build primitive-based compositions with materials, lights, and native camera keys.
Animate and capture cameras
Ask for a 1–15 second flight, dolly, pan, or zoom. Edit the keys in Houdini, then use Render motion to attach the camera video in Generate.
Choose the finished look
Keep the camera clip as a motion guide. Add a workspace image as the product look, then describe the environment and world you want to create.
Add Gemini timing
The clock button sends the guide to Gemini 3.8 Flash. Timestamped camera actions and speed are added to your editable video prompt.
Bring assets into the scene
Browse workspace images, 3D models, and Gaussian splats. Import objects, textured planes, camera references, and material textures.
Send renders back
Upload stills and videos as new workspace media. The plugin attaches them in Generate so the next request can use your actual Houdini output.
Make the motion yours
1
Build and animate
Model in Houdini, import an asset, or ask Scene chat for a scene with a five-second camera flight. The plugin creates editable camera keys, checks geometry clearance, and selects the shot range.
2
Render the guide
Choose your camera and frame range in Scene, then click Render motion. Your clip is saved to the selected workspace and attached in Generate.
3
Set the look and timing
In Library, select a finished image and choose Reference → Use as look for camera video. Use the clock for Gemini timing, then choose a style such as Shoe world.
4
Generate and review
Edit the creative brief and motion beats, check the output duration and aspect ratio, review the spend limit, and generate with H3.
Install and connect
Download and extract the plugin. On macOS with Houdini 21 or Apprentice, run this command from the extracted folder:
Restart Houdini, then open Sequencer from the shelf or as a dockable Python Panel. Click Link device, enter the code in Sequencer Settings, and choose your workspace.
Updating an existing install? Extract the new download, run the installer from that folder, and restart Houdini to load v0.3.11.

Requirements
Houdini Python with PySide2 or PySide6, a paired Sequencer account, and FFmpeg for video capture. Houdini 21 is recommended for Bake GSplat.
Pricing and preview scope
All AI models and Gemini analysis use paid Sequencer credits. A blocked camera route can trigger one additional paid model revision. Review rates and spend limits before generating. Scene chat supports static primitive geometry and animated cameras; detailed modeling and object animation use native Houdini tools.
