This is an advanced tutorial using Sequencer's node editor. You will build a workflow that takes a video of an empty room, extracts key frames, generates styled versions of each frame, and stitches them back into a seamless video. Real estate professionals use this to transform vacant properties into fully staged showcases.
What You Are Building
Traditional virtual staging means hiring 3D artists, modeling furniture, rendering, compositing. Expensive and slow. This workflow replaces all of that with a node pipeline that processes video automatically.
The approach is simple: break the video into frames, use image-to-video generation to transform each frame into a styled clip, then stitch those clips back together. The room stays the same, but now it is filled with furniture, lighting, and decor.
The Node Pipeline
Open the Workflows tab in Sequencer. You will connect four main nodes: input video, frame extraction, video generation, and video stitching. Data flows from left to right.

Workflow Preview
The input video feeds into frame extraction, which pulls out key frames at regular intervals. Each frame goes through the generation node with your staging prompt. Finally, the stitch node combines all the generated clips into a single output video.
Frame Extraction
The extraction node pulls key frames from your input video. You control how many frames to extract based on your video length. For a 10-second walkthrough, extracting 3-5 frames usually gives good coverage.
Each extracted frame becomes the starting point for a generated clip. The AI uses the frame as a reference image, maintaining the room's perspective and layout while adding the staged elements you describe in your prompt.
The Generation Step
This is where the magic happens. The generation node takes each extracted frame and creates a short video clip from it. Your prompt describes the staging style you want.

"Modern mid-century living room, beige sofa, sunlight streaming through windows, 4k, interior design magazine style, wide angle"
The AI generates a clip for each frame, transforming the empty room into a staged space. Because each clip starts from the original frame, the room geometry stays consistent across all generated segments.
Stitching It Together
The final stitch node takes all the generated clips and combines them into a single video. This is where your staged walkthrough comes together. The node handles transitions between clips automatically.
The output is a complete video showing the property with full staging. What would have taken days of 3D work now takes minutes.
Getting Professional Results
Source quality matters enormously. Start with well-lit footage of the empty room. Harsh shadows or shaky camera work will carry through to the final output. Smooth, steady walkthroughs work best.
Be consistent with your prompts. Use the same staging style description for all frames so the furniture and decor match across clips. Inconsistent prompting leads to jarring transitions where the couch changes color mid-video.
Save your workflow as a template. Once dialed in, you can reuse it for every property. Swap the input video, adjust the prompt for the desired style, and generate.
Build the Pipeline
Open the Workflows tab and connect the nodes. Four nodes, one prompt, and you have a virtual staging system that transforms empty rooms into magazine-ready showcases.
